Kite with a weight

"After I'm dead I'd rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one."

"He can compress the most words into the smallest idea of any man I know."

"Don't let it end like this. Tell them I said something."
- last words of Pancho Villa (1877-1923)
"The right to swing my fist ends where the other man's nose begins."
- Oliver Wendell Holmes (1841-1935)

Today… the surreal-ness of yesterday fades…leaving behind:
Coughing + a drugged out mind = sleeping for most of the afternoon
Half asleep mind, wake up here and there to check the phone.
Just to make sure some things were in order, since I’ve got to stay at home to recuperate.
Confirm if I were to go out today, I will not be able to recover properly…
Resting at home really is the best thing to do aye?

Got some extra messages from friends wishing me belated Birthday. Hehe…thanks! :)

Right now,
I’m Flying high… as a kite, but with a weight attached... drugged out mind knows no bounds...

Jiat lut… Dad just felt my forehead… said I might be having fever…
Aiyo… I’ve been sick so long that I don remember what it feels like to be 100% well…
-faints-

Need my meds now…
Will write more when the weekend is over…
Birth Week/Birth Month going on~

MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."
- Albert Einstein (1879-1955)

How should I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Hmmm…
It was a summer’s day.
The weather, filled with sunshine and freaky rain, beating down on me as I made my way through the day.
So ya… let’s start at the beginning of my day shall we?

Got up, freaked out at the fact that I am 22.
Forgot to take my usual vitamins. -.-lll
Then again, makes no difference, considering that I am sick, I still have to take the other dosages of medication.
Hitched a ride to school with David’s family and Fiona.
Was just on time for the lecture… found myself wondering: since when my CF lecture got so many people ah?
Coz the place was more packed that usual…

Made in through the lecture, it was a painful experience, not in any metaphorical sense. It was literal. The sound system was mad, crazy and cranky. The feedback from the SONY sound systems was horrible…
My left ear took the brunt of it, coz we sat at the left side of the lecture theatre (our usual place).
Leaving the lecture theatre at 12.30pm instead of the broadcasted noon, we all rushed in different directions toward our appointments.

1pm appointment was with Yang Mui and Shi Min at Plaza Singapura.
Shi min late, I late, Yang Mui late… hahahhahaha~
Been so long since I last saw Yang Mui lor!
She’s taken up karate!
So exciting!
Listening to her stories about the classes and her sensei and her grading… wow… opens my eyes to other martial arts, which is good, if not I get stuck within only one ‘world’. I wouldn’t want to be myopic in more than one way.
Maybe one day I will drop by and see what the class is like ya?
Yang Mui teach me some moves next time ok?
Heeheee…
Yeap!
It was nice to have that banter all over again, I used more Chinese words this time right?
-hysterical laughter-
Venue for lunch: Ichiban Boshi
Number of plates accumulated: 19 colored + 1 red plate
We had a good time catching up aye?
Thanks for the treat ladies! :D

Parted ways round about 4pm.
Rushed to S.M.U. to meet Swee Shoon.
It poured down on me. Must have been quite a sight to see a person dashing in the rain with an umbrella and a huge bag under the jacket… mah chum I got spare tire in the wrong place. O.-lll
-odd laughter-
Wanted to view the TKD clinic, which was supposed to be held there.
Sadly, the response from the students was not good, so Shoon ended up taking part in the Aikido clinic instead.
The throws, falls and methods of defending oneself…
I would have taken part if not for my inadequate attire and my health. -.-lll
Took pictures for Shoon I did.
Every martial art has its own uniqueness yes? :)

Yilinn came to meet us right after the consultation with her lecturer. :D
We hung about that area; Yilinn got to reading about her Alpha mode and Beta modes, on her notes while Shoon read the newspaper. I fooled around with Shoon’s computer, giving live commentary on the things around me.
What was being said, who was doing what and etc.
All done live with Alfred on the other end.
Yeap… I bet his reaction more than half the time involved his eyebrows being raised in an odd fashion. ;p

Kinda slacked around the school longer than we should have, but all was ok, ran into Lee Sin :)
Have not seen her since her matriculation, which was in 2005. -.-lll
She’s doing good, being a dance instructor and all. She’s really got it going no?
Happy that she’s happy~
Walked back to PS around 7/8 plus odd for dinner.
Could not really decide where to eat for dinner… yeah… me sometimes can be a lack of idea person xp

Once the venue was decided upon, we went in, got ourselves seated and went crazy with Shoon’s camera. My own camera’s batteries were running low and almost flat on me x.xlll
Took pictures of the chairs, tables, plates, food, each other and of course, there were plenty of candids…
-hysterical laughter-
We cracked lame jokes and bounced alpha, beta, delta and theta jokes all over the place.
Ordering of food was done in a flash; coz the kitchen was slated to close at 9.30pm.
We on the ordered twice, with the final ‘waving of hands in the air’ being at 9.26pm. :p
The people there are so swamped with business that we have to resort to doing the ‘Kallang Wave’ in order to get their attention.
HAHAHAHAHHAA~~~
There were some mix and mess ups with our orders. In order not for there to be any problems in payment, I think I could have been a tad too forward with the waitress and our requests.
How did I come to that conclusion?
She called me ‘Sir’ when she apologized. -.-lll
Venue: Ichiban Boshi (yes, the same outlet as the one in the afternoon) ^.^
Number of plates accumulated: 16 colored + 1 Bento set.
Number of stamps at the end of the day:
4 (lunch + dinner)
Don’t give me that look… I am entitled to be outlandish on my birthday! :p
Buah hahahahahaha~

We let PS at 10.05pm odd.
Yilinn went for her bus, while Shoon and I headed back to Serangoon on the NEL.
Shoon was nice enough to walk me home… yes, the birthday girl gets a bodyguard for one-day… hahahah…

Thank you to everyone who was a part of my day.
Especially peeps with your text messages wishing happy birthday and asking about my health at the same time. Really touched my heart.
Thanks for the presents and hugs too!
You guys made it what it was – WONDERFUL ^_^

Birth Week carries on, oh yeah~
With God, all things are possible!
Woohooo~
^-^

Happy Birthday to Me

Yes, this Birthday girl is HigH~

Happy Birthday to Me!

Thank God for all that He hath done and will do in my life!
May His love flow through me to others and bless them just as He has blessed me!

Formula 2-1

"Denial ain't just a river in Egypt."
- Mark Twain (1835-1910)

- General George S. Patton (1885-1945)

Spending time sleeping at home is the most productive thing in the world!
Right~
Who am I trying to kid?
Hahaha…
But still, its good for my body, that’s why I forego the final training session before grading. Thank God it’s not my grading we’re talking about.

Speaking of which, I am still walking on pins and needles regarding my results.
My mind ding-dongs between the consequences. Which might range from the mild to drastic. Mind you, staying at home without any energy to do studying leaves you with a lot of time to have rubbish thoughts.
-faints-

I refuse to count how many hours I have left before I am no longer a 2 – 1.
Alamak, I make it look like some kind of sporting result… -.-lll
Yes, 21 years are about to pass me by. Like some sort of Formula 1 event. The racetrack is narrow with not much room to breathe.
Everyone’s already finished a certain number of rounds, just so happens that I am one of those who finishes yet another lap when other friends have just passed their 21st signal.
*bleah*
It can get rather depressing sometimes, having a birthday in the beginning days of the New Year. Reasons for which I shall not explain, least I sound like some old crow – one which I would not like to turn into~
-hysterical laughter-
A good run as a 21 year old I have had.
Thank You God for all Your blessings and gifts.
The friends You have given to me and the happy times You have created in the past year.
:D

Soon will come the time when I will need to down my medication and get things ready for school tomorrow.
Hopefully I will get enough rest tonight to prevent me from knocking out in class in the morning, then again, I do not usually nod off during corporate finance lecture… yippee…
Yes, the birthday girl is HiGh~
As a kite!
Wooooooohoooooooooo….

Type more than I am older~

The above-mentioned names of medications have been through my system since the 23rd of December 2006.
My throat got swollen again this morning; actually it started getting worse again on Monday. Back to the doctor I went… and collected me some more names of medications…
P20
Domycine
Eussils
Please dear God, don’t let the list get any longer…
Doctor told me that if I am not careful, I might end up having to get a chest x-ray for m lungs. She also said that in the worse case, I might not be able to get well for an entire month… but I have already been sick for a period close to that amount of time!
ARGH~~~
Oh!
And she told me not to use my voice for the time being… if not I will never let my throat heal…
So am I going to be quarantined again?
Tomorrow is my birthday for goodness sakes!
AS IF!
-loud hysterical and psychotic laughter-

I will breathe easy and stay my self at home on Friday…
Then, chiong another 3 days before taking a breather. Correction! No time for breather, I’ve got physiotherapy to attend. Speaking of which, I had to postpone my appointments at CSMC today due to being sick…
The appointment hotline was supposed to open at 8.30pm, but did not manage to get through until pass 9.20am. Thank God TKM helped me with some of the calling tries…
And so does my schedule for the day down the gutter…
Have to rest and let my poor immune system recover from the life I lead.
WAHAHAHAHAA…

Aight… drowsy…

Make me angry and I'll smash your 'cocks'

"I'm not a member of any organized political party, I'm a Democrat!"

"If stupidity got us into this mess, then why can't it get us out?" "
- Will Rogers (1879-1935)

"Democracy does not guarantee equality of conditions - it only guarantees equality of opportunity."
- Irving Kristol
"There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home."
- Ken Olson, president, chairman and founder of Digital Equipment Corp., 1977

I had multiple flash backs of being in Australia this morning…
The air, the sensations and the partial scenery changes (the times when I did open my eyes from nodding off in the bus ;p)
Oh how I miss being overseas~
Hopefully I will be able to make a trip off my sunny, though not that sunny at the moment, island this year…
-silly smile-

Had breakfast this morning with Cranson before lecture started.
Chatted about the concert held at City Harvest Church during the weekend, among other things, like learning another language. Be it Japanese or French or even sign language.
I took up sign language back in 2004 before I started studying in SIM. Sadly, due in part to the fact that I have no one to converse with, I have already forgotten more than half of what I learnt during the course. X.xlll
I will probably have to go back for a refresher course if I want to start proper ‘hand-signaling’ again… heehee… anyone wanna join me?

MM lecture today was projected as a consultation on the timetable. Dr. Phil followed the timetable, resulting in us sitting like dolls, listening to him talk about difference equations and auxiliary equations pertaining to the past year questions. Not to forget the drawing of graphs.
Starting from next Tuesday, there will be a study session for MM… no choice liao… I don’t want to get my bum whipped by the papers, which I am going for… in less than 30 days no less… O.olll
-screams and runs round the house like a mad woman-

Lunch was had at Megabites.
The ‘Bio’ing of a girl took place.
Don worry, I was not interested… it was someone I was with who was interested in the girl. And me, being a friend to the end, tailed the girl half way to her lecture so that he could find out what class she was taking for the afternoon…
-psychotic laughter-
Is this something similar to what I did with Parveen in JC?
Remember the P.E. makeup session?
Hehe~

Badminton session with Desmond, Aziz, Paul, Jojo, Fion and Kelvin in at Clementi Sports hall.
It has been more than a year since I last picked up a racket to hit em’ shuttles…
And if I remember correctly, the last time I played badminton was also with Aziz and Desmond… how time flies~
The injury hinders my game, but I still managed to whack the ‘balls’ that were shot in my direction… 85% of them anyway -.-lll
Looks like I am in square one again, in terms of my agility and ability to send the shuttles to where they would do the most ‘damage’.
-evil laughter-
We all love to smash 'cocks’ from time to time… though I do wonder when the next ‘event’ will be…. Hmmmmm…
Badminton started at 2 and ended at 4. KFC was the next stop before heading to the local pool place, where I got my bum handed to me on a cue stick. Why leh? My first, and only, round was played against Fion. In her words, she was particularly above her usual form, which is the reason for why she literally cleared the table in less than 10 minutes… yes, I bluff you not…
Left the place and got caught in the rain at around 6.30pm.
Toopid ol’ me took a long bus ride (1.5 hours) thereby making myself late for cell group.
And ya, my coughing is back again… not like it ever left.
This is officially the longest time I have been sick.
Since 23rd December 2006.
*BLEAH*

Cell group was not bad. Winnie could not make it due to the exam that is on for her tomorrow….
ALL THE BESTEST WINNIE!!!!!
-waves pompoms all over the place and throws random ones in the air-

Cell group celebrated my birthday and there was birthday cake to go along with the singing… hehe… Pau even made it to cell tonight… :)
Winnie choose my birthday cake :)
Thanks sister!

Currently hooked to Eric Clapton’s Layla.
This phase has nothing to do with the concert that took place over the weekend… although I think I was a bit influenced by David’s attendance at the concert ;p
I have yet to find a concert or performance I am willing part my money with and to make extra time for :p
Besides, it aint’ fun at all if I go alone… hahahha…
*hint… HINT*

Aight… time to surrender to my bed… Birth-week continues… woohooo~~!!

The 'face'

"Sometimes it is not enough to our best; we must do what is required."
- Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)
"The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready."
- Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)
"There is a country in Europe where multiple-choice tests are illegal."
- Sigfried Hulzer
"Ask her to wait a moment - I am almost done."
- Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855), while working, when informed that his wife is dying

I missed out on my typing session yesterday. Was busy planning with the PLKCCAUS. :D
Yes… much to look forward to…
-rubs hands in glee-

Went to church in the morning on Sunday.
Praise and worship was good according to Elsie Jie… aka my Supervisor. :)
It is not I who works but my Lord…
When I work, I work.
When I pray, my God works.
The goal is to teach the children to worship during the service without telling them to… hehe… with God, all things are possible~!
-hoots-

Excused myself to go home after the second service.
Why?
To get my assignment off my back, that’s why.
Yeah, my fault for not getting it done before yesterday… procrastination is a freaking crap thing… ha…
-whacks head against the nearest wall-

Got caught in the rain on the way home, my shoes were rather muddied by the time I reached my doorstep. -.-lll
I did not get to do my assignment till around 3pm odd… coz I decided that I needed a nap really really badly… knocking out for 2 hours straight should more than sum up how much I needed it right? ;p
Pen was put down at 4.15pm. :D
Got my stuff in order and rushed my bum to the CC for class.
Standard Operating Procedure.
Enough said ;)

Had dinner with Dan, Huifen and Yao Liang @ McD.
Alfred joined us for a while before going home for his dinner.
In the time he spent there, he ate a cheese burger and most of my fries… good going bro -.-lll
We dined till around 8.30 before heading home… walking all the way and chatting up a storm. :)

The rain didn’t get me down this morning. Thank God, it did not rain till I got to the school compound. ESAP lecture was interesting, and I made a fool of myself… but I guess I was high… Birth-Week… what to do? Plenty of endorphins… hehe
Lunch with the usual gang followed by a trip the library and then to MSM lecture which saw me knocking my head on the table in frustration.
DQ should be DQed… he is a good lecturer but… I guess I am not one to be able to keep my concentration level high when my teacher drones… x.xlll
Gary commented that I have the look of a person who will always ask the lecturer a million and one questions… I got the ‘face’
-loud hysterical laughter-
din go for SIM TKD training. Promised YKM I would be home for dinner…

And so ends the Monday of my Birth-Week 2007.
With me typing and listening to Mr. Big being played on my computer…

Hehe… tomorrow’s another day~
Can’t wait!

SUM UP:
5 sane days left.
Scratched by cat.
Fall on overhead bridge.
Messed up date.
Scoldings.
‘Wonderful’~

Got a message from Bern in the morning regarding Kallang.
And me, being me, donno how to do the ‘no’ thing.
So, my initial schedule got changed around.

I had to go home and get my stuff before heading out to Plaza Singapura to meet Huifen and Ivan. The original venue was supposed to be Bishan, but I made the call to switch venues because getting to Kallang from Plaza Singapura is easier than going there from Bishan… hehe… which means I was able to spend more time with my two dearies :)
I haven seen Ivan in close to a year!
My, how time flies~

Café Cartel was the venue for lunch.
Food was good.
Conversation was interesting… Butter is bitter… hmmm…
-hysterical laughter-
Had to say goodbye around 4.45pm in order to make it in time… but we were late by 5 minutes.

Idiotic XXXX… only person those XXXX are afraid of is Sir.
As for the rest of the session… I shall keep my thoughts to myself…
-sigh-

Took a walk round Heartland Mall before heading home. Had to get some shopping done for the upcoming week… hehehe…
Did some window-shopping at the same time. Fought hard to keep my urge to spend collared and leashed. I won ;)
Was really itching to buy a new wallet and that base-ball cap…. Haix… but the good thing is that I have relatively more money in my bag then if I had spent it on those items… :p
The day got even better when my phone went dead on me… thank God I was able to charge it at home during the ‘interval’. Haix… that added to my lateness… but good thing the battery called it quits at the end of my day outside of the house… if not, sure got more problems…

Am going to have to finish my overdue assignment by tomorrow… no choice liao… behind time and getting far to ‘wasted’
-faints-

Chivas + green tea
*hmmmmm…….*
-laughs out loud-
Huifen said that I have been talking about that a lot recently…
Hahaha…
Blame it on Aarvin … he got me peaked about the drink… ;p
-psychotic laughter-

I really enjoy watching the commercial on Channel 5 regarding the movie:
The Day After Tomorrow.
This is the one local commercial that has caught my attention and held it for such a long time…
Why?
The music, that’s why.
Tune used: Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
First time saw the commercial was when I was on the bus. I remember being more interested in looking out the window, but the music was the one that caught my attention.
The Asian flavor and emotions linked to the song. Never fail to evoke that warm sensation whenever I listen to the notes…
Especially during the chorus!
Placed with the right images, really works magic~
If you have not listened to the song before, I totally recommend it! :D
It is an ode to the power of the piano!
Hehehehe…

Yang Mui~
We still have yet to finalize the plans for next Thursday!
I was thinking of skipping class… since it is reflected on my schedule that it is going to be a consultation…
-evil laughter-
Then again, I don think my conscience would allow me to do that… x.olll

Yingz~
We still have yet to come up with a date… alamak!
-faints-

Parveen!!!!
When?
Where?
What?
How?
Hehe…

Hey Sheena~
Wanna have a mahjong session with Adeline and Siya?
HAHAHA…

Marcus!
I still waiting for your reply to my sms leh… -.-lll

Yueling!
Wednesday can make it?
-looks hopeful-

J KOR!!!!
Wednesday ah!
Set!
Where do I meet you?
What time?
My session is projected to wrap up around 12.30pm… so how you wanna play it?

Aight… snooze time~

I hate blisters

"Never mistake motion for action."
- Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961)
"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."
- Sir Stephen Henry Roberts (1901-1971)
"The longer I live the more I see that I am never wrong about anything, and that all the pains that I have so humbly taken to verify my notions have only wasted my time."
- George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)
"Silence is argument carried out by other means."
- Ernesto"Che"Guevara (1928-1967)

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing~~~~
RIIIIIIING~~~~
RRRIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGG~~~~~~

That is the sound I woke up to this morning at roughly around 0630hrs. -.-lll
Got called by the primary school to do relief teaching for the morning session… and yes? You were expecting a phone call at that un-godly hour to be for the afternoon session?!?
XP

Good thing I had the foresight to get some clothes ready last night before I went to bed…if not I sure have to turn down the assignment lo… and then say bye bye to that nice cash~ ;)

Had wanted to take a cab to the school, but I could not find any… so walked, took the bus, took the MRT and walked some more to the school… by the time I got there… I was wet and my feet were killing me… the blisters are due in part to the fact that I do not wear my court shoes very often. Only on specific occasions, which require some ‘power’ dressing…
-psychotic laughter-
I definitely prefer morning sessions.
The time passes more quickly and there are more benefits. Like: I get to have the entire afternoon to do whatever I want, because I have already used up my morning. PM sessions do not allow me that luxury.
The kids were not too bad today. Seeing as that I already taught this batch last year as part of the afternoon session, it was like meeting up with an old friend…
Ok, not that extreme, but you get the idea yes?
The day was cold, and the floors were wet from the constant rain. Thank God I did not fall down! :)
Got quite a few things done in the process of the morning, which is more than I could ever hope for…
Tao pau-ed my lunch over to Kor’s place right after I left the school.
Ian, my darling… Xiao Guo loves you very much! :D

Hung out at my brother’s place till about 4 before tong-panging a ride home.
I had wanted to take a nap before heading out to Cairnhill, but I didn’t get the opportunity in the end…
Left the house in a flurry of bags and umbrellas to make my way to the bus stop, in the rain no less…
In my hurry to get to the bus stop, I left my trusty phone at home on the table.
MY GWAD!!!!
I can’t believe I did that lor~
First time I ever left the house without my hand phone… age must really be catching up with me… either that or it’s a lack of sleep/rest that caused the horrible lapse in memory…
-knocks head against the wall-
Oh gosh… hitting my head would make things worse right? X.xlll
-whacks head against the walls again in frustration-
Bleah~~~~

I only realized that I was missing my cell phone when I was reaching Junction 8 lor… I met Dominic in the bus and was talking to him about his N.S. stint and what he went though, etc… been quite a while since I last saw him… He sure is a happy trooper to be out of the service. His batch got it good, only 2 years compared to the 2.5 years of my boys. Dom was on his way to J8 to watch aka Last Dance.
I’ve been wanting to watch that movie, but schedule clashes seem to make it almost impossible. O.-;;;
-pulls self back from digression-
SO YA! I FORGOT MY HANDPHONE!
And the sensation was so freaky… I felt like I had lost a vital part of myself. Though I did not have much of a choice and had to get used to borrowing a hand phone to make important phone calls… thanks Bernard :)
Forgetting my phone was the biggest downer of the day… if kinda affected my mood for the rest of the evening… the feeling of being lost was very strong. The white belters goofing off did not help my disposition at all. Some of the kids at the CC ended up getting a semi-shelling from me… rail me up at the wrong time… what’s more, some of them the poomsae really can not make it… and grading is next Sunday… they are very kind souls - ‘Donate’ their money to S.T.F. x.olll
‘Icing on the cake’ came when we left the CC.
I forgot about my umbrella, so had to make my way back to the CC to retrieve it.
SO irritated with myself lor~
By the time I got my umbrella back, I was so D.L. that I decided to take a taxi home… my one luxury of the day… I think I deserve that for putting up with so much rubbish from some of those idiots whom I ran into today…

Good thing the day is ending.
In the end, everything will be ok ya?
With God it always ends right :)
Yaaay~~~

Okok… eyes are playing tricks on me now… and its time to get my headless-chicken on again for Birth-Week, which starts tomorrow…
-laughs like a psychotic killer and runs round the house with hair standing on end-

Been 4 days since my last post… let’s see what has transpired since Monday~

Morning Management Mathematics lecture on a Tuesday.
First Tuesday of 2007 in school.
I’ve got a lot to do… then again, that’s not something new aye?
-pulls hair out while hitting head against the wall-
Many things to do… so less than 2 months to make it work… what drives me, I have to find it and not forget what it is…

Went to cell group in the evening… could not sing very well, but God looks at my heart, so that’s not such a bad thing. Cannot snook Him one… hahaha~
Wouldn’t have it any other way…
Shared about the issues we have in sharing the gospel with other people.
I was harsh on myself about why I haven’t really been doing my job… I have to do it some time… just need to force myself out of my comfort zone… grrrr…

Wednesday – IAN!!!!
Spent the afternoon staring at his darling face and taking photos of him. I also brought some work over and attempted to do it while watching Kill Bill 2, Aeon Flux and The Last Samurai.
-bursts into loud hysterical laughter-
yeap, I think you can pretty much guess why I did not managed to finish the essay… :p
Ate dinner at Kor’s place before heading back to the Kovan area to meet Dexter and Yao Liang.
They were having dinner at the McD.
Went early to the CC to start with self warm-up and poomsae.
Have to aim for perfection; I am on my way to getting modifications down to pat.
Must not let small things stop me…
-war cry-
Planned with the PLKCCAUS on what we’re going to do for the ‘event’ before heading for home.
I spent most of the night typing a proposal letter…
Slept at 2am…

Only to be woken up by my trusty Casio alarm clock at 6.37am. -.-lll
The rain made it hard for me to want to go to school.
To want to crawl out from under my blanket into the cold takes a lot of determination you know!
-hysterical laughter-
Lalaladidididdadadada~~~~

Esther was the lecturer again for today’s tutorial. Was speculating with Yvonne about the prospects of John going through the entire tutorial again next week… we see it as an 86% probability, and the percentage will increase because Esther gave instructions to bring the exact same notes for next week… x.xlll
Anyways… morning lecture was a drag, I went for breakfast on my own… and actually had every intention of not going back to the lecture theatre… :p
Aziz and Paul plus Aarvin more pro than me.
They went for breakfast half way through the lecture and then decided that they wanted to go to Malaysia, so the guys left at 11am…
Hahaha~
Went for lunch with David and Charlene at the Potong Pasir ba chor mee store… been ages since we last ate there… hehe… I bought a packet home for TKM to try and she likes it! The soup most of all~
Took a nap in the afternoon while it was raining… more than made up for the lack of sleep from last night.
-satisfied silly grin-
Good thing I din have to go for tuition today… not confirm late… :X

A lot of turmoil in my emotions of late.
Due in part to many things, which have been swirling around me.
Some people acting weird, others acting jerkish and the list goes on… it never ends… can’t spend my time thinking too much, I’d be wasting good effort on things which I can not change… life is so much more than just worrying… which I happen to do a lot these days… yuck…. Worry until my headaches go nuts on me… bleah…

Yueling~
How’s work this week?

Huiyi~
I don think I can make it to the concert on Saturday, might be meeting up with a ‘long lost’ friend in the evening… sorry ah…

J Kor~
Wednesday choop ah! :)

Yang Mui!
Next Thursday how ah?
I invited Shi Min along and another friend of mine… was thinking of making the crowd a bit bigger… what say you?

Marcus!
When are you free man?!

Yingz~
When? When?
Hehe…

Parv-mama,
Remember to let me know when your load lightens… movie orgy or whatever I don care… as long as I get my dosage of you… hee…

Yes, Birth Month is a huge thing… and next week’s Birth Week will see me go back to my headless chicken ways… X.o
BUAH HAHAHHAHAHAHA~~~~

Okok… a new day is coming and I would like to be prepared for it… hehe…
Chaoz~

- Wilson Mizner (1876-1933)

Almost did not make it to school today…
Was coughing very badly last night…
Cough until cannot breathe lor…
BLEAH~

I would have loved to stay home, forget all my worries and just hide under my blanket. Then again, there is a huge difference between what I would like to do and what I know I have to do… which was precisely what I ended up doing.
Confused?
Well, the long and short of it was that I went to school anyway.
Sorta fell asleep in both buses though x.xlll
ESAP wasn’t too bad today.
Much there is to be done in order to stay on top.
Lunched with Aziz, Claudia and Paul.
Ding, dong down the stairs to the lecture theatre for the MSM lecture.
We sat right in front. A change of feng shuei?
I guess you could say that.
The general consensus is that we have a higher attention span while sitting there. Desmond feels kind of vulnerable there though… eppz…
Much I need to do to get back my groove… speaking of which, I have to finish the assignment by Wednesday!
-starts pulling hair out in clumps-

Did not attend training today. Not well enough to put my body through all that running and kicking, no matter how much I would like to get back into action… oh! And I have to remember to do my own house training in preparation for physiotherapy – which is next Wednesday!
Argh~!

I’ve starting planning gatherings and meeting ups… the process is slow but I am very sure everything will turn out good.
With God, everything always does :D

"A consensus means that everyone agrees to say collectively what no one believes individually."
- Abba Eban (1915-2002)

Today ended up going to TPY to hang with Bern, Yao Liang and Dexter. See Hwa and Huifen came down at a later time…
Spent most of the day with them.
It was freaking fun :)
Played pool at the TPY SAFRA and then chiong-ed down to Kovan for a half-hour’s worth of class…
I was the only one who got in half and hour, I had to rush home to get ready for the annual family reunion dinner…
Been quite a while since I saw my cousins and their kids…
Now that I have been ‘promoted’ to Auntie status… I feel freaking old…
-envisions own hair turning white-
-psychotic laughter-

Thanks for the two days guys~ :D

MY BLACK BELT GRADING

"How can I lose to such an idiot?"
- A shout from chessmaster Aaron Nimzovich (1886-1935)
"Not only is there no God, but try finding a plumber on Sunday."
- Woody Allen (1935-)
"I don't feel good."
- The last words of Luther Burbank (1849-1926)
"Nothing is wrong with California that a rise in the ocean level wouldn't cure."
- Ross MacDonald (1915-1983)
"Men have become the tools of their tools."
- Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)
"I have never let my schooling interfere with my education."
- Mark Twain (1835-1910)

More than 6 months overdue and finally...
Genevieve, Bernard and Mrs. Chow also took their gradings today.
But let me start at the beginning of my day…

Got up around 10am in order to get ready to meet Alfred and Huifen at the bus stop at 11am. We made our way to TPY for lunch with Chong Yun and family, who were late… I din bother to eat my lunch coz I was worried I might puke on my opponent during sparring. (Don’t ask me for the reasoning, it’s an old excuse not to eat. One, which I evoke every time I go for grading…heehee)
Rushed down to the stadium around 12.30pm when I got the call from Uncle Bernard. I was kind of worked up over the possibility that I might have been late, when my reporting time was meant to be 1.30pm.
Got everything ready before the said timing and waited around with Genevieve for the role call to begin…
She was very anxious, so we prayed :)
When we work, we work.
When we pray, God works.
And works wonders He does :D

R5,N4.

Waiting was kind surreal… watching others head out to the middle of the courts to be tested on the 3 portions. Namely: Poomsae, basic kicks and sparring.
I made friends while waiting~
Nothing new about that… hahaha…

When it came to my turn…
I did my best.
Thank You, God!
I did not mess up :D
-hysterical laughter-

As for the comments… some people said that I was not forceful enough in the poomsae department… and that alone is depressing enough, especially when poomsae is supposed to be my forte…
-hits head against the wall HARD-
Sparring was more of like a blur, but the overall good thing is that I was not injured… I inflicted injury instead… eppz…

Thank God for His peace throughout this experience!
To God be the glory!

Once everything was done, I joined the group, got changed into my civilian clothes and helped with photo taking and videotaping :)
The group being: Swee Shoon, Huifen, See Hwa, Alfred, Chong Yi, Chong Yun, Jack, Uncle Jimmy, Jolynn, Yue Ling, Genevieve and Mrs. Lee.
Bernard, Mrs. Chow, Lucien and Eileen joined us later after their gradings, work and helping out…
We had fun making jokes and commenting here and there about this and that. Fretting over what might have should have and could have… hahahaha~

I’m very happy that Shoon made it down. Because initially he told me that lessons would prevent him from making it to my grading… but - He made it :D

Thank you to those who gave me support and words of encouragement!
The SMSes really meant a lot!
-big silly grinz-

We hung around the sports stadium till everything was concluded before packing up and heading for Sir’s place to have our dinner as well as view the tapes we made in the day.
Talk, laugh, eat, laugh some more, and talk even more… all the way past 11pm… Oppz X.olll
Shared cab home with Huifen and Lucien…

All in all, it was a good day. :D

That’s all for now… be back tomorrow!

12th Day of CHRISTmas

"There are some experiences in life which should not be demanded twice from any man, and one of them is listening to the Brahms Requiem."
- George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)

- Epictetus (55-135 A.D.)
"What about things like bullets?"
- Herb Kimmel, Behavioralist, Professor of Psychology, upon hearing the above quote (1981)

Merry 12th Day of Christmas!

It’s the final day of Christmas and the final day before grading…
-bursts into loud hysterical and maybe even psychotic laughter-
-faints from the lack of oxygen-

Went out with TKM in the morning to run errands all over town…
First to RELC, to pay for my expensive exams.
The entire process of queuing up and paying took less than 10 minutes :)
Since we were so early, we took the bus to Suntec and ate at the porridge buffet… TKM has been wanting to eat there for quite some time, so today, we fulfilled her wish… heeheee~
This time’s visit was better than the last.
I tried more items and even filled out a questionnaire for them… hahaha…
Lunch completed and in our tummies, we walked to City Hall and took the MRT to Orchard.
Kinokuniya was the desired destination!
We walked and stalked the place for more than an hour before deciding on 4 items to spend my vouchers on.
Yes, after an entire year, I have finally put my 21st Birthday vouchers to good use.
-big silly grin-
Thanks again to everyone who gave me those vouchers!
-continues grinning like a Cheshire cat-
-does the dance of Joy-

Came home and then made for Cairnhill… reached at 5.30pm odd…
Why so early?
That would be a question one would have to direct at Uncle Bern.
-dissolves into fits of laughter-

Bern checked my pattern for me and I did the same for him… I guess there is no point worrying about my poomsae now, coz there ain’t much I can do about them at this hour…
-hits head against wall while simultaneously pulling out hair-

Much to do before I can knock out tonight, gotta pack my bags and do donno what else… hahaha…

Will write more tomorrow… sumpah!

God’s peace conquers all! :D
Wooohoooo~

Merry 11th Day of Christmas!

Today’s gift: Finally getting to see my nephew!
-does the crazy dance of joy all around the house-
YAY!!!!!!
-huge goofy grin-

First class of the New Year today.
Corporate Finance with Dr John.
Wasn’t all that bad, I just need to do some reading up as soon as possible.
Speaking of which, it’s now less than 140 days to the BIG and FINAL EXAM!
-starts pulling hair out-
yeap… the 3rd bout of expensive papers are right round the proverbial corner. As much as I would like to think that there is still time, it really is not much left. If I could turn back the clock to last year at this time, I would undo a few things… but it is my past that has some control over my actions that dictate my immediate future. SO, I have started putting my 07’ plan into action…
Shhhhh… I’ll tell you once I’ve initiated the entire thing ok?
Patience is a virtue~
-giggles-

Aight… tomorrow is the final day of Christmas and there is much to do!
I have still yet to get back to 100% x.xlll
ARGH~~~~~~
-laughs and coughs all over the place-

Toodles~

"Happiness is good health and a bad memory."
- Ingrid Bergman (1917-1982)

Still coughing and today’s training was the last official one before the BIG day on Saturday. I find that I am kinda numb to the fact that my training and learning for the past three years culminates on Saturday. Everything from the time I was a white to now, from kicks to punches and most importantly, poomsae.
Much to do in preparation for Saturday.
It seems that we have more to do than just bother about our own gradings. We’ve got to settle some other administrative matters.
Taking photographs?
Oh yeah~
Videos?
Why not~
I’ve been doing one, so it’s rather natural that I move on to the other as well. They go hand in hand most of the time yes?
-does a jig-

Today’s physiotherapy was more aggressive than the previous session.
Wall squats, ball work, hopping on the trampoline, weights, machine usage and donno what else… I do until I lose track lor~
Some more this time I go down, donno anyone there. At least got YK the last time… a familiar face goes a long way in making one feel comfortable in an alien environment no?
Then again, the place isn’t that far out as one might think… the trainers and therapists are friendly people who are more than willing to give you a hand when you need help… as long as you manage to catch their attention at the right time ;p
My previous trainer was not around today… Fauzie not on duty… probably his off day ba… so I was placed with Edmond. Nice fella :)
Exercised my injured leg until the whole thing felt like jelly… was as if I traded my leg for a water-based prosthetic. Good thing that sensation did not last for the whole day. *phew*

Did some reading of my previous posts a while back.
My style to writing has evolved quite a bit.
I wonder where all my creativity went to … would love to get it back…
-starts searching for her creativity-
its not that I don’t like the way I am writing… more that I used to write in a style that was more animated and I find that now, my writing a bit on the boring side…
MY GWAD!!!!
O.O
Did I just say BORING?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo~~~~
-runs screaming around the house, hair flying in all directions-

Speaking of hair, I did my ‘Cousin It’ impression while I was at McD with Huifen, Alfred and Lucien just now… Hehe… good thing they did not take any pictures!
-hysterical combined with psychotic laughter-

I’ve got errands to run over the next few days… really hope I can get as much rest as possible~
Now that would be a cue for me to go and count sheep…
Hehz~

- Al Capone (1899-1947)

2nd Day of 2007 and 9th day of Christmas :D

Managed to watch an episode of So You Think You Can Dance?, finally after so long…*sighz*
I have not been able to watch that programme due to my schedule (read: trainings). Not that I mind at all, training is more important to me than some television show…
As I was saying… yes, I watched that show… and the dances blew me away!
-does slow mo movement toward the wall-
Especially like the set done by Ivan and Allison to the song: Sexy Love by Ne-Yo :)
Its got more feeling than some of the other dances I saw on the show that night… I was not aware that Hip-hop could produce such moves… hehee~

Did a bit of shifting last night around the house before going to bed.
The result?
Less coughing and more sleep accomplished :)
Oh yeah~
-does dance of joy-

Got myself out of the house this morning for some fresh air… it’s been 3 whole days since I’ve been out.
Can feel the mould growing on my legs, and cobwebs forming in my hair… *bleah*
Yeah… not a very nice image, but you get the idea…
I was supposed to meet someone… but that person overslept…
*shrugs*
Should have seen it coming I guess~
Walked around Kovan for about an hour or so.
From market place to center and around in circles… yes, circles.
If you knew how small the place was you’d know what I was talking about…
Thankfully YKM turned up and saved me from ‘sian-dom’.
Went shopping for groceries and lunch before heading home.

In tune to what I saw and heard last night… here is the song that caught my attention:

Sexy Love by Ne-Yo

My sexy love... (so sexy...)

[Verse 1]
She makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up
Just one touch
And I errupt like a volcano and cover her with my love
Babygirl you make me say (Ohh ohhh ohhhh)
And I just can't think (of anything else I'd rather do)
Than to hear you sing (sing my name the way you do)
When we do our thing (when we do the things we do)
Babygirl you make me say (Ohh ohhh ohhhh)

[Chorus]
Sexy love girl the things you do
(Oh baby baby) Keep me sprung keep running back to you
Who I love making love to you
Babygirl you know your my (sexy love...)

[Verse 2]
I'm so addicted to her she's the sweetest touch
Just enough
Still too much say that I simp and I'm sprung all of the above
I can't help she makes me say (Ohh ohhh ohhhh)
And I just can't think (of anything else I'd rather do)
Than to hear you sing (sing my name the way you do)
When we do our thing (when we do the things we do)
Oh, Babygirl you make me say (Ohh ohhh ohhhh)

[Chorus]
Sexy love girl the things you do
(Oh baby baby) Keep me sprung keep running back to you
Who I love making love to you
Say babygirl you know your my (sexy love...)

[Verse 3]
Oh baby what we do it makes the sun come up
Keep on lovin' til it goes back down
And I don't know what I'd do if I would lose your touch
That's why I'm always keepin' you around... my sexy love

[Chorus:]
Sexy love girl the things you do (things you do baby)
(Oh baby baby) Keep me sprung keep running back to you (keep me runnin' back to you)
Who I love making love to you
Say babygirl you know your my (sexy love...)

[Chorus:]
Sexy love girl the things you do (sexy love)
Keep me sprung keep running back to you (keep me runnin' back to you)
Who I love making love to you
Say babygirl you know your my (sexy love...)

She makes the hairs on the back of my head stand up
Just one touch...

Aight… Dinner and assignments are calling~

Chao!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007!!!!!
+
Merry 8th Day of Christmas!!!!
:D

Had a memorable countdown?
I spent my last moments of 2006 shuttling between my television set and the computer.
The Esplanade countdown was televised on Channel News Asia, with all the fireworks and screaming to boot.
Nothing beats watching fireworks live… the sensation you get when you see the lights against the dark sky. Not forgetting the atmosphere created by being mashed up against strangers from other parts of the island -.-lll
-hysterical laughter-
Seeing firework displays, be it on television or live, always fill me with hope.
God knows why, but I always get that warm feeling in my chest.
The idea that good things will happen and love is all around.
*smirks*
That’s me. ;p

New Year resolutions anyone?
I found my list for 2006 and realized that I only fulfilled ¼ of it.
The good thing is that that portion was the most important one. :)
The thing about making resolutions is that we hardly fulfill them half the time.
Oddly enough, we sometimes go in the opposite direction.
How about this?
Since we never get around to completing the objectives, why not make negative points?
That way, we would become more positive. ;)
I’ll be making my own list… see how successful/unsuccessful I am this year ba…
-psychotic laughter-

To new beginnings and a wonderful year ahead!
Hugs all round!
Cheers Everyone!
